Ich möchte Dinge oder die Notizen dazu und die Gedanken daran so voll und so ganz besitzen wie möglich. Die Entscheidung “Was und wie?” kann uns leider jeder abnehmen, weshalb ich mich versuche auch in meinen Veröffentlichungen auf so wenige Plattformen wie möglich zu konzentrieren.

Das ist der Grund warum ich zukünftig alles in mein Blog poste.

Gut Ding will Weile haben. Keine vier Jahre und ca. 100 Sendungen nach der ersten Behandlung des Themas Poststrukturalismus im CRE gibt es jetzt den schon lange angedachten und mitunter auch versprochenen zweiten Teil des Gesprächs. Daher ist, wer dieses Gespräch vollständig erfassen und verstehen möchte, angehalten, die erste Iteration über das Thema noch oder überhaupt erst einmal zu hören, bevor man sich auf die Fortsetzung stürzt. So oder so beginnt aber die zweite Ausgabe mit einer Zusammenfassung des ersten Teils.

Damals wie heute steht die Idee des Poststrukturalismus im Mittelpunkt und während der erste Teil vor allem den historischen Kontext der Entstehung erläutert hat berichtet Gregor Sedlag im Gespräch mit Tim Pritlove nunmehr über die Auswirkungen des Poststrukturalismus in unserer heutigen Zeit.

The Mathematical Lives Of Plants - Science News:

The seeds of a sunflower, the spines of a cactus, and the bracts of a pine cone all grow in whirling spiral patterns. Remarkable for their complexity and beauty, they also show consistent mathematical patterns that scientists have been striving to understand.

A surprising number of plants have spiral patterns in which each leaf, seed, or other structure follows the next at a particular angle called the golden angle. The golden angle is about 137.5º. Two radii of a circle C form the golden angle if they divide the circle into two areas A and B so that A/B = B/C.

The golden angle is closely related to the golden ratio, which the ancient Greeks studied extensively and some have believed to have divine, aesthetic or mystical properties.

Dismissing an idea is so easy because it doesn’t involve any work. You can scoff at it. You can ignore it. You can puff some smoke at it. That’s easy. The hard thing to do is protect it, think about it, let it marinate, explore it, riff on it, and try it. The right idea could start out life as the wrong idea.

Rands In Repose: A Precious Hour:

Other than spending time with my family, my absolute favorite time of the week is Saturday morning. I sleep in a little bit, walk upstairs, start the coffee process, and wander over to the computer. There’s a Dropbox folder titled “Latest Rands Articles” and right this moment there are 65 articles in progress there. After a brief stumble of the Internet, a precious time begins. I have precisely the right music on, in the center of my screen is a wall of words, and in that moment I’m decidedly not busy, I’m not working - I am building a thing and I need this time every single day.

Starting at the beginning of February, I made a change. Each day I blocked off a precious hour to build something.
